Within the Geo Resilience Compass, an interview series will be created that brings together voices from science, governance, GeoAI, Biosens, system architecture and community resilience. This series is intended to serve as a strategic dialogue module that makes different perspectives visible, connects operational experience with theoretical depth, and illustrates how resilience emerges in real multi‑hazard contexts. Through conversations with experts from different regions, countries, continents and disciplines, the Compass will be expanded with vivid, context‑rich insights that not only complement its architecture but open it toward practical application.
The Geo-Resilience Compass is not a theoretical model — it is a global tool for dialogue.

11th International Conference on Geoinformation Technologies for Natural Disaster Management (GiT4NDM)
The 11th Geoinformation Technologies for Natural Disaster Management (GiT4NDM) conference will take place from 10–11 December 2026 at Shaoxing University and the Keqiao International Park in Shaoxing, China. It is organized in collaboration with the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS), the Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG), GeoIME Inc., Canada, and several other national and international partners from academia and industry.
I am very pleased and deeply honored to have been invited as a speaker at the 11th International Conference on Geoinformation Technologies for Natural Disaster Management (GiT4NDM).
I will speak on “Post‑Conflict Technology Residues (PCTR): A Neutral, EO‑Detectable Multi‑Hazard Class for GeoAI and PostSDG Governance.” And I warmly invite you to remain curious, because during my presentation you will discover why a highly contemporary topic such as “Post‑Conflict Technology Residues (PCTR): A neutral, Earth‑observation‑detectable multi‑hazard class for GeoAI and Post‑SDG governance” reveals an unexpected conceptual resonance with the cultural narratives embodied in the songs "Skyfall" and "Woman in Love" — a connection that may surprise you just as much as it illuminates the deeper logic of PCTR.
And to avoid any misunderstanding from the outset: my presentation has no connection to politics, actors or geopolitical agendas — it deals exclusively with neutral, observable technological residues and their relevance for future necessary systemic governance and resilience architectures in multi‑hazard contexts, which is precisely why this clarification is essential.
I would be delighted if you join me in ‘diving’ into this world so that we can explore this horizon in its full breadth and depth.
China is a particularly meaningful venue for this topic. As a global leader in Earth observation (Gaofen/CHEOS), GeoAI‑supported hazard research, and critical infrastructure resilience, the country offers a unique real‑world environment — from large landslide regions to megacity infrastructures and complex water‑vegetation systems. Presenting PCTR in such a context is especially valuable.
GiT4NDM is an important platform because it brings together leading scientists, practitioners, and governance experts shaping the future of multi‑hazard resilience. My work focuses on building globally interoperable, robust multi‑hazard architectures that connect geospatial intelligence, systemic resilience logic and operational governance.
Because my work is institutionally independent, it can more easily cross boundaries, break silos, and offer neutral perspectives — something essential in a world where hazards, conflict residues, technological risks and infrastructure interdependencies do not follow national or academic borders.
I am also committed to contributing to IEEE PAR 4011 by developing interoperable frameworks that link science, governance, geospatial intelligence, and real hazard environments.
I am pleased to contribute alongside renowned speakers from China, Canada, India, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Oman. The thematic breadth — from landslide early warning, wildfire monitoring, GeoAI‑driven infrastructure interdependency, Earth evolution, vegetation‑based carbon strategies, PNT for disaster management, to tectonic vulnerability and landslide modelling — shows how closely EO, GeoAI, governance and natural sciences are interconnected.
This diversity demonstrates that resilience emerges not from one discipline, but from the integration of many. In this sense, PCTR aligns strongly with the conference’s themes, especially where EO, GeoAI, governance, infrastructure dependencies, natural hazards and systemic risk architectures converge.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this global dialogue and to present my systemic resilience approaches. My sincere thanks to the organizers for opening this space.
